Trestleboard ASHLER LODGE April 2013 Greetings from the East, This has been my hardest month. We had to say good-bye to our Brother and friend WB Henry Magill. Hank was a very important part of Ashler Lodge and there is a reason why there is an Ashler with his name on it in the Lodge, he really has been a cornerstone of the Lodge for a number of years. It is times like this I wish I was more eloquent, but I am not. I all I can really say is, Henry will be missed by all. Hank’s Grandson gave me some picture and a program from his installation as Master of Ashler Lodge. I will be bringing them to our Stated Meeting on the 18th. In our last stated meeting Bro. Bob Guild passed his 2nd degree proficiency, and Bro. Chis Elsworth passed his first. Congratulation Brothers. We did Bro. Chris’s 2nd degree on March 28th, it was our best degree so far this year. Thanks to all who attended. Bro. Bob’s degree is scheduled for Saturday April 27th at 8 AM. The turnout for Bro. Chis’s degree was a little disappointing. Please check your schedule and try to arrange some time to join us for Bro. Bob’s 3rd degree. We will be holding a couple of practices before the degree. I will update our facebook page with dates and times. If you would like to be a part of the degree please contact Brother Southerland or myself. Fraternally, WB Gary McPherson Worshipful Master gary@mc-pherson.com 425.890.3771 Greetings from the West, I would like to pay wages to our District Deputy and very own, Richard Beers, for his inspiring words and for allowing us to redeem ourselves at closing. I would also like to pay wages to our brother's from Luz Viminda who came and swiped The Traveling Gavel, it is always good to see other brothers in our lodge. We should also pay wages to the outstanding degree team that recently passed Brother Chris Elsworth to the Fellowcraft degree. I look forward to seeing you at our next stated. Fraternally, Roger Kaltenbach Senior Warden roger@thekaltenbach.com Greetings from the South, It’s sure been a great month to be a Mason. So many things are happening. The Wardens conference was another great success this year with some very helpful take aways by all. We helped the Rainbow Girls by making and serving them the main course for their progressive dinner here at the lodge. Such fun being with brothers and the girls. It’s not to early to be looking at the summer fun coming up and thinking about what we want to get involved in as we are a busy lodge in the summer too. Hope to see you all out there. Fraternally, Dan Southerland Junior Warden bkmdano39@yahoo.com For the most up to date information visit the Ashler web page at http://www.bothellmasons.org or find us on Facebook.
