Greetings from the East,

Thank you to everyone for coming out to May’s stated meeting and potluck dinner. Everyone had a great time enjoying the fellowship and camaraderie that Masons know how to really deliver. The Veteran’s memorial was especially moving in light of present events and the sacrifice that so many each of us know have made for the freedoms we enjoy as brothers and a nation.

We covered the different community events we will be driving this summer as our landmark events for our Lodge. We still need your help building the 4th of July parade float at noon on July 2, Music in the Park at Ball Field #3 in Bothell east of I-405 every Friday afternoon and evening for 8 weeks following the 4th of July, Bothell’s Night Out Against Crime on August 2, and our CHIPs booth at the Bothell River Fest on August 28. We will also be cleaning, repairing, painting, and improving the temple building over the following Saturdays starting at 9 AM each day: June 18, July 9, July 30, August 13, and August 20. Contact me at 206-353-0134 and I will get you in touch with each of the brothers coordinating these events for our Lodge.

On June 16 bring your car or your bike to our annual car and bike show at Ashler Lodge. We’ll have BBQ pulled pork with all the fixin’s, awards for best car and bike and best dressed biker, and our last stated meeting before going dark for the summer. On a more somber note, we will also be having a memorial during our stated meeting for Bill Yaguchi, Past Master, who entered the Great Celestial Lodge above on May 28, 2011. Please join us and share your stories in celebrating his life and his contributions to our Lodge and Masonry throughout a long and honorable life.

Greetings from the West,

Summer is a time for Brethren to get out, enjoy the sun, and spend time with friends and families. The Lodge has quite a few opportunities this summer to let you get out with your family and have some fun, all while supporting the Craft. We are hosting a BBQ at St Edwards State Park on July 23 for all our concordant bodies and their families. Of course summer also means Music in the Park, which is always a good time! I will also be polishing up my car to present at the BBQ & Car Show at our June Stated meeting, come out with an entry, or just "window shop"--we'll have great food and great fellowship either way! Hope to see you and your family this summer.

Greetings from the South,

As we mark the mid-way point of our year we are once again reassured of three great certainties of life: Death, Taxes and the Ashler Lodge BBQ & Car Show.

I hope to see you there for incredible BBQ, fellowship as we begin our summer community involvement, and to view the hobbies and talents of your brothers’ disposable income. Maybe we’ll even be visited by the sun before the days start getting shorter after the June solstice.
